Silicon-based spin qubit technology for quantum computation

Leveraging on existing material and tools used for classical computers. It is hard to do gates!, harder to scale up. There is good news though!

It is tempting to leverage our decade long and knowhow in the integrated chip industry to build a scaled-up qubit system based on standard CMOS platform. It means building the qubits from common semiconductor material, as we do our classical computers . That would be nice, but the problem is that (the challenge) it is hard to build addressable and stable qubits (transistors) using the current platform. It is hard to scale up.
